ENOCH WOOD PERRY JR. (American, 1831-1915) THE WICKER WORKERS. Outstanding large oil on canvas interior scene shows fourteen women and children working at weaving wicker over large bottles. The whole process is shown starting with the children weaving the bases through the finished product. Colorful bottles are shown in various stages of completion. The warehouse type setting has windows and rafters with a right side chimney. People are in colorful well dressed clothes. Signed lower left “E. Wood Perry NA”. Housed in an outstanding wide deep gilt frame. SIZE: 35” x 54”. CONDITION: Relined with some restoration and inpainting. Otherwise very good. 9-95370 (25,000-35,000)
