CLOCKWORK HUBLEY AMUSEMENT PARK RIDE. A most rare, desirable, enchanting toy! One of three known to exist this finely detailed and cast clockwork toy is from the late 19th century. A combination of cast iron and brass, Hubley portrayed a real life ride in toy form. When the chain driven mechanism is activated, the large wheels revolve and the gondolas slide to and fro as they rotate between the two large and elaborate discs. SIZE: 19″ l x 11″ h x 6″ w. CONDITION: Overall condition is near excellent but due to the frailty of the toy and castings some repairs have been made to the large fanciful cast iron end caps.
