IDENTIFIED INDIAN WAR CAVALRY GROUPING OF CAPT. H.P. PERRINE OF THE 6TH U.S. CAVALRY. Grouping consists of cased cavalry helmet, pair of cased epaulets and Smith & Wesson 1st Model American revolver and cased set of ivory razors. Cased epaulet is typical mid to late 19th century. Insignia has been removed but one 6th Cavalry bumper in poor mothed condition is present inside accessory box. Cased pair of ivory razors complete with Capt. Perrine’s name gold embossed on casing. English razors sold by J.H. Gemrig & Son, 109 Sth 8th St, Philadelphia. Razors are in fine condition. Case has a broken hinge. Capt. Perrine’s pistol is a civilian model Smith & Wesson 1st Model American .44 caliber revolver with 8” bbl, wood grips and original nickel. SN 3441. CONDITION: 50% original dull nickel, all matching serial numbers and good mechanics. Strong dark bore. Latch spring broken. 3/4” crack in left stock. Also included in this group is Capt. Perrine’s cased Cavalry pith helmet. Helmet is regulation blue felt in fine condition with minor moth damage. Helmet is complete with both yellow horsehair plume and spiked top.
