UNSIGNED (American, 19th Century) LOGGING IN THE MAINE WOODS. Oil on canvas scene shows two lumbermen working the woods. One rides on five logs on large sled pulled by two horses. Another stands on large tree, which he has sawn down and holds ax. All in a winter wooded landscape with setting sun. Housed in an outstanding lemon gold double frame.
