Rare early oil on canvas Maine scene shows two men resting with canvas shelter and long canoe beside cascading stream under trees and beside mountains. Probably a scene in northern Aroostook County. A wonderful depiction of the Maine life in the last century. Original, outstanding lemon gold frame. SIZE: 12” x 16-3/4”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-96101-798 (800-1,200)
