CHIPPENDALE MAHOGANY WING CHAIR. Chamfered square front legs, dovetailed stretcher and slightly curving square back legs. Secondary woods of pine and birch. Several layers of upholstery history. Serpentine top crest rail, nicely formed curving wings and rolled arms. Similar to Portsmouth, New Hampshire or Massachusetts chairs. SIZE: 44-1/2″ h x 30″ w across seat rail x 13″ h to top of seat rail. CONDITION: Chair has some very minor fire damage to underneath. Replaced glue blocks and pieced stretcher.
