FINE SERPENTINE FRONT BALL AND CLAW FOOT CHIPPENDALE DESK. The slant lid opens to reveal a fabulous step down interior with block front drawers and central fan carved drawer and eight cubby holes. The central drawer side has very early name, which is illegible. The well formed ball and claw feet below a molded apron with drop central carving. Replaced with 19th C brasses. SIZE: 44” h x 41” w x 20-1/2” d. CONDITION: Old finish with a couple of finish imperfections. Split where boards meet on sides. Otherwise very good. 9-25768 (8,000-12,000)
