WONDERFUL EARLY FOLK ART BOOT MAKER’S SIGN. This 19th C boot maker’s sign is sanded metal framed in wood. The double-sided sign features a cutout and painted wooden boot, which is applied in relief on the metal surface. SIZE: 36″ h x 29″ w. CONDITION: Paint on the lettering is worn. The tip of the tan colored boot on one side of the sign is missing. The reverse, with a white and black painted boot is complete, but some of the black sanded surface missing on the lower left-hand corner of that side. In general, has a wonderful look to it.
