“TOWER” BROWN BESS MUSKET. Cal. .80. 41-3/4” round bbl. Although the lock is engraved with the crown over “GR” cipher in front of the hammer and “TOWER” at the rear of the lockplate, bbl has commercial “HB” makers mark and Birmingham proof marks. Reconverted to flintlock. Missing the sling swivels and lower end of the ramrod. NSN. CONDITION: Light to moderate pitting overall except reconverted area has been artificially aged. Wood has been broken around the lockplate, repaired, sanded and refinished. Action is good. 4-49090 (2,500-3,500)
