FINE CAUCASIAN MIQUELETTE RIFLE. Cal 55. 28-3/4” part oct bbl. Bbl and lockplate have heavy gold damascene decoration. Stock is overlaid with heavy sheet silver and German silver decorations. Bbl bands are engraved silver. The 2” thick buttplate is solid ivory. There are also tortoise, lapis, coral and ivory inlays in several bands above the buttplate. NSN. CONDITION: Very good with minor breaks in the German silver overlay and chips in the fancy circassian walnut stock. Light natural cracks in the ivory buttplate.
