OUTSTANDING 19TH CENTURY ORNATELY CARVED GILT OVAL MIRROR. Large oval mirror has molded gilt mahogany frame decorated with a wreath of small flowers. The outside of the oval frame has a 5” pierced carved and gilt decorative surround with carved shell at bottom. First half of the 19th Century. A magnificent large mirror. PROVENANCE: Originally from an Ellsworth, Maine Estate and came with a custom crate for moving. SIZE: 48” h x 40” w. CONDITION: Very good. Some very minor gold rubbing. 9-95494 (4,500-6,500)
