FINE ONE DRAWER TURNED LEG TAVERN TABLE. Breadboard end, single board top having four nicely turned legs with molded edge frieze supporting a long dovetailed drawer with primitive wood knob. Nice old refinished surface. Accompanying table is an affidavit given by Grace Woodbury, May 16th 1953 indicating that it was purchased from Mrs. Carlton of Milton, Mass in 1916 and she was the last living direct descendent of General James Cudsworth of Scituate, Mass. It was said the he shined his boots on this table. Refinished in 1916 and sold to our consignor in 1952. PROVENANCE: From an Augusta, Maine home. SIZE: 27-1/2” h x 45” l x 26-1/2” d. CONDITION: Old patch to top, shows some use. Generally very good. 9-70081 (800-1,200)
