COUNTRY INLAID EMPIRE SOFA ATTRIBUTED TO THOMAS DAY (1801-1861). The large rolled arms have front veneer work including mahogany and a birdseye maple stylized dolphin/snake. Ogee form straight skirt with mahogany and curly maple. The back in ogee straight form with similar veneers. All four front feet are large horizontal scrolls. SIZE: 30” h x 93” w x 26” d. CONDITION: Some pieces of veneer banding missing, other minor imperfections. 9-25477 (800-1,200)
