CHINESE EXPORT BOWL AND BAMBOO BRUSH POT. 19th century. Porcelain bowl decorated on interior with mountainous treed landscape. Exterior paint decorated with flowerheads on dark green ground. Base with artist seal mark. Brush pot decorated with gold lacquer symbols and leafy design centering panel of flying geese fitted with copper liner. SIZE: Bowl: 4-1/4″ h x 10-1/2″ dia. Brush pot: 6-1/2″ h x 8-1/4″ dia. PROVENANCE: From a fine southern Maine home. CONDITION: Bowl with extensive wear to interior decoration and with spider hairline in base. Brush pot with original surfaces and good patina. 9-25117 (300-500)
