AMES MODEL 1836 CAVALRY SABER. 35-3/4” double fuller blade marked “N. P.AMES / CABOTVILLE / 1846” on the left ricasso, “US / N W P” on the right. The iron scabbard is unmarked. CONDITION: Bright blade with scattered light pitting. Hilt has a crack under the wrapping, wire is still intact. Scabbard appears to have been cleaned and is lightly pitted. 4-49517 FS313 (400-600)
