RHODA CARLETON HOLMES NICHOLS (American, 1854-1930) BRIDGE OVER THE CANAL. Watercolor scene shows a slightly arched bridge with stone foundation spanning a tranquil canal having a walkway on left side which has a team of horses, several buildings all reflected in the water. Signed lower left. Housed in a thin black molded wood frame with gold liner. SIZE: Sight: 11″ x 28-1/2″. CONDITION: A small slice off right bottom corner, good. 9-90829 (1,000-1,500)
