HOWARD A. THAIN (American, 1891-1959) VIOLIN GIRL. Oil on board interior scene shows a standing young woman in fancy costume with colorful shawl, blue bow at waist and white ruffled shirt. She has bow to violin that is at her chin. Signed lower left “Thain 1927″. Housed in a replacement gold decorated frame. SIZE: 20″ x 13-3/4”. CONDITION: Areas of minor paint shrinkage and very light chips. Generally very good. 9-28975 (400-600)
