ARCHAIC STYLE BRONZE VASE. 19th century or earlier, Japan. Base with three character calligraphic mark. The bulbous example applied with elephant form handles with panels of incised carving of archaic symbols. Additionally with fine silver and gold string overlays. The patinated surfaces in tones of red rust and dark brown. SIZE: 11″ h. CONDITION: Surfaces appear untouched with losses to precious metal overlays. Very good overall. 9-25780 (2,000-3,000)
