OUTSTANDING PAINTED FAN BACK WINDSOR SIDE CHAIR. Nine tapered spindle back with fine turned back stiles supporting a shaped crest having nicely carved ears. Carved saddle seat supported by four nicely turned splay legs supported by a turned medial stretcher. Old dark green over a lighter original green. For similar chair which indicates Philadelphia origin, refer to page 83 of “The Windsor Style in America” by Santore. SIZE: 36-1/2” h x 17-1/2” seat h. CONDITION: Very good.
