BUDDHIST POCKET SHRINE. 19th century, Japan. Comprised of 2 discs closing to form a lotus blossom. Interior carved with image of Amitabha, second with image of Padmapani. Shrine mounted on hardwood stand. Each disc with sanskrit letters. SIZE: Disc: 2″ dia. Stand: 3″ h x 4-3/4″ l x 2-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Generally good. Amitabha disc with two tight hairlines. 9-25075 (700-900)
