MODEL 1850 FOOT OFFICER’S SWORD. Blade marked “CLAUBERG, SOLINGEN”. Complete with Ames marked scabbard. CONDITION: Grip sharskin wrap and wire are 100% complete. Blade is very good to fine. Two 9” etched panels on either side of blade contain fancy “U.S.” and an eagle with E.Pluribus Unum. Panels retain original frosting and some gilting. Scabard is missing throat, retains traces of gilt on each mount. 4-49717 JS42 (600-700)
