RARE BRUNO SCHMIDT “WENDY”. 17” (43 cm). Head incised “2033” “BSW (within a heart) 537”. Extremely rare and desirable character with brown glass sleep eyes, closed mouth with very full molded lips, pierced ears. On original fully jointed pink body, wearing an elaborate, multi-layered colorful European costume, starched and padded green silk sleeves, high peeked hat brass necklace with cross and coins. Full blonde mohair wig and black and white oil cloth shoes from the period. CONDITION: Overall outstanding. Minor paint wear on fingers. Spot of kiln dust under chin. 8-76140 RS (21,000-25,000)
