T. has the most desirable face with perfect complexion and beautifully detailed facial features. Marked on rear of head “A.9 T.” and on the bisque shoulder plate (AT left shoulder & 9 right shoulder). The paperweight eyes are deep lavender blue with large pupils that seem to follow you about the room. She is on proper and most sought after A.T. body that is constructed of kid with bisque lower arms, adorned in an antique aqua silk & cotton lace “Kate Greenaway” style dress with matching bonnet (w/some fraying to brim). Antique blonde mohair wig with original set & ringlets. Her antique leather shoes marked C.M. feature an aqua rosette & tie at the ankles, she is wearing coordinating aqua socks. Doll has bulging brown paperweight eyes, protruding upper lip, molded tongue between two lips. Overall pale bisque with rouged cheeks. She wears her original underwear and chemise antique brown stockings. Wearing antique green pleated wool dress, antique silk ribbon bonnet, and original signed BRU leather shoes. MARVELOUS BISQUE HEADED CLOWN MAGICIAN AUTOMATON. Truly outstanding and all original Lambert automaton from the late 1800s or early 1900s. Typical of French fashion, the character bisque head features pale white bisque, paperweight eyes, painted facial features, and is adorned with ladybugs and flying insects. The magician is decked in colorful silk clothing and has the most delicate bisque hands imaginable. Through a series of motions (nodding and twisting his head, waving his wand, and tapping the cup) various items mysteriously appear on the table as he gently lifts the cone. Wood sides enhanced by cast iron windows and two front cast iron doors, hinged and ready to open. This is all surmounted by an elaborate bell tower with brass bell with partial original pull string. CARPENTER’S BURNING BUILDING. A hot ticket! Originally found in a Massachusetts attic many years ago, and until recently resided in a private collection. Patented 1882. Perhaps one of the greatest toys ever manufactured. Carpenter, located in Port Chester, New York modeled their building after the brownstones of NYC. The elaborate cast iron façade is mounted on a wooden base with a cast iron sidewalk simulating concrete. This two-story version has the damsel on a fiery balcony awaiting the fireman below to ascend the ladder and bring her down to safety with the pull of a string. The second fireman tends the hose below. This rarer version features an open side door with cast iron jamb with storage area. A truly spectacular toy for the most serious and discerning collector. FINE DENTIST MECHANICAL BANK BY STEVENS. Just consigned from the widow of a Massachusetts dentist. As found, and fresh to the market! Comical bank portraying the dentist with his gas bag at his feet extracting a large molar from his black patient. When bank is activated, the dentist rears back with molar in hand and the patient falls head over heels backwards, flinging his arms and legs in the air.
