THREE PART MAHOGANY ANTIQUE SECRETARY (GOVE FAMILY). Removable top cornice with peaked center over an ogee molding. Two glass doors have shaped window top and three drawers below. Bottom section with fold over writing surface, which has inkwell compartments and pen tray, green felt writing surface as is. One long drawer over two cabinets which have ripple molding decoration. Paneled end and nicely cutout base. PROVENANCE: Gove Family house, Newcastle, Maine. A shipbuilding family. SIZE: 83-1/2” h. CONDITION: Very good. 9-96452 (2,000-3,000)
