PADDY AND THE PIG MECHANICAL BANK. Place penny on pig’s snout, push lever, pig kicks coin into Paddy’s mouth. Manufactured by J & E Steven’s, patented in 1882. The bank was a racial slur in the 1880s against the Irish. Paddy eats with the pigs and has a bottle of liquor in his back pocket. SIZE: 8-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Wear to Paddy’s face, the pig and base. Missing trap. Otherwise, good condition. 1-5292 MC (700-1,000)
