MODEL 1840 NAVAL CUTLASS. Blade marked “N.P. Ames, Springfield/USN/1845”. Complete with scabbard. This is not the scabbard normally associated but appears comptempory to the use of this sword. CONDITION: Very good overall with gray blade with a few nicks in cutting edge. Blade markings are sharp. 4-49696 JS28 (750-1,000)
