J & E STEVENS BOY SCOUT CAMP MECHANICAL BANK. A marvelous example in pristine to near mint condition with tremendous amounts of copper highlighting to the bank. Perhaps one of the finest examples known! The great condition allows you to see detail not apparent on most examples found. When one studies the bank closely, they observe the teepee, the owl in the tree, the camp fire, the scout behind the cauldron, and another emerging from the teepee. Even the lever retains approximately 95% of the paint, which is usually the first to wear. PROVENANCE: Ex-Norman Perry Collection. SIZE: Base measures 9 7/8″. CONDITION: Pristine to near mint; extremely rare in this condition. 1-6122 MC (20,000-30,000)
