FINE OXBOW FRONT CHIPPENDALE FOUR DRAWER SLANT LID DESK. The reverse serpentine drawers with end blocking on a molded base supported by well carved ogee feet. Large bat wing brasses with bale handles and matching escutcheon plates appear to be original. Slant lid opens to reveal a fine interior with three fan carvings, six drawers, six cubby holes, two document secret drawers fronted with a carved pilaster. Central door opens to reveal two drawers and open compartment. Appears to be walnut. SIZE: 42-1/2” h x 42-1/4” w x 21-1/2” d. CONDITION: Very good.
