ATTRIBUTED TO ANTHONY THIEME (American, 1888-1954) NASSAU, BAHAMAS. Oil on canvas scene shows several islanders at front of a white and red hulled sailboat. A gentleman with a red shirt and yellow hat is seen at back of boat. Palm trees and shanty are seen in the background with two rowboats in foreground. Unsigned. For similar scene see Sotheby’s sale March 1st, 2006, lot 85. Housed in a weathered gray stained frame with gray painted liner. The stretcher is marked “US Art Canvas Co. New York, NY”. Found in a Pennsylvania home. SIZE: 25” x 30”. CONDITION: Very good, dirty. 9-29597 (5,000-10,000)
