CHARLES B. RUSS (American, 19th Century) NEW ENGLAND LANDSCAPE. White Mountain School oil on canvas panoramic scene shows a farm nestled in a valley with pond and mountains beyond. Several people are seen on hillside, road, in field and at the house. Cows graze in the pasture, which has a split rail fence. Signed lower right “C. B. Russ 1864”. Housed in its original deep gesso decorated gilt frame. A fine example of an early New England landscape. SIZE: 12” x 20”.
