RICHMOND RIFLE MUSKET. Cal .61. 40” bbl, lock is of high hump variety. Lock marked “CS/RICHMOND, VA” forward the hammer and “1862 on back of hammer. Bbl marked “V” over “P” over eagle head, 3 bands all marked with a different “U”, brass buttplate and nosecap, swelled ramrod, rear sight appears replaced. CONDITION: Overall good. Stock has been refinished, bbl and bands cleaned, about 1” piece of wood missing behind lock. Heavy pitting around breech and top of lock and hammer. Mechanics are good. 4-49788 JS4 (5,000-6,000)
