FAYETTEVILLE RIFLE. Cal .61. 33” bbl, marked on lock eagle over “CSA Under an eagle/FAYETTEVILLE”, bbl marked with “V” over “P” over eagle head. Bbl dated 1863. Brass bands, nosecap, trigger guard and buttplate. buttplate is properly marked “CSA”. Rear sight has leaves replaced with reproductions, otherwise gun appears 100% original. CONDITION: Stock shows numerous dings, crapes and cuts. Residual cartouche visible. Scattered light pitting over lock, hammer and bbl. Ramrod pitted and cleaned. 4-49621 JS5 (6,000-7,000)
