FINE JADE CARVING OF A HAPPY BUDDHA. China. Depicting a Buddha emerging from a pumpkin beneath a lotus leaf. The bottom with ruyi flower, the side carved with two bats. In the Buddha’s left hand is a bag of wealth. Nicely rendered with a shading from white jade to brown sugar jade. SIZE: 2-2/3″ l x 1-1/2″ w. CONDITION: Very good overall with nice surfaces and patina. 9-24764 (600-800)
