Double hinged wooden closure atop rubber coated canvas bag with paper insert for New York. SIZE: 11 1/2″ l x 5″h. CONDITION: Rubber is age cracked otherwise very good to excellent. 2) Mailbag Fastener by H. B. Ferren with original patent tag# 209,878, dated November 12, 1878. Metal split cylinder handle with rope ties atop partial canvas bag. SIZE: 4″ l. CONDITION: Very good. 3) Metallic Grommets by J. Mair with original patent tag# 92,199, dated July 6, 1869. Two double-sided metal grommets in thick canvas. SIZE: Grommets measure 1 3/4″ diameter. CONDITION: Light oxidation otherwise very good. 1-6258, 1-6290, 1-6295 AT (400-600)
