COLT MODEL 1851 LONDON NAVY REVOLVER. Cal. 36 Perc. Fine London Navy with 7-1/2’ oct bbl, iron trigger guard and backstrap with 1-pc walnut grips. All the screws are round headed. SN 18559. CONDITION: Very fine plus, all matching except the wedge, which is numbered to another revolver. Bbl retains 35-40% bright blue with the balance a moderate patina. The front sight has been slightly altered. The rammer retains blue at the tip and strong case colors on the pivot. The frame retains 60-70% faded case colors. The trigger guard and backstrap retain blue in the very sheltered areas, being mostly a medium brown patina. The cylinder is a smooth silver-brown patina with all 6 of its pins mostly intact. Grips are sound with light edge wear and retain most of their original varnish. Strong dark bore. Crisp mechanics. 4-49148 JR281 (4,000-6,000)
