CARVED CHINESE ROSEWOOD CHAIR. 19th century, China. Stepped crestrail joined to a central pierce carved backsplat of berries and vinery centering a pierced rondel carved with figures beneath flowering fruit trees. Back joined to stepped arms pierce carved with floral bouquets on stands centering rectangular plank seat raised on molded square shaped legs, each with floral carved apron. SIZE: 36″ h of back. 26″ w overall. 17-3/4″ h of seat. CONDITION: Professionally restored and repolished. Seat height probably reduced. With restoration to arms and back accompanied by professional reinforcements. 7-72841 (300-500)
