SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1842 MUSKET. Cal .69. 42” round bbl. Dated 1850 on the tail of the lockplate and 1845 on the tang of the breech plug. The ramrod is a replacement. There are vise marks at the rear of bbl. NSN. CONDITION: Metal has been lightly cleaned but dents and light pitting remain. Wood has also been cleaned and waxed.
