T. H. HERMANS (Early 20th Century) THE COBBLER. Fine watercolor interior scene shows an elderly cobbler seated in a tri-leg backed stool working on a shoe. A kerosene lamp hangs from a post over his cobbler’s bench in front of a window. Signed lower right and has an embossed oval stamp “Copyrighted 1902 by Craig, Evans & Harris Inc.”. Also has label from same firm Philadelphia on back. Housed in a period gilt wood frame with matte. We have been unable to find any information about this artist. SIZE: 13-1/2” x 9-1/2”. CONDITION: Light foxing, otherwise good. 9-27029 (200-400)
