TWO ENAMELED INCENSE BURNERS. Late 19th, early 20th century, Japan. First, a pigeon’s blood colored example with silver foil depicting birds within a grove of bamboo, with a rosewood stand and pierced cover with ivory figural finial. The second, a squat hexagonal cloissone example with silver wire cloisins with floral and foo dog enamel panels, raised on three feet. SIZE: First: 5-1/2″ h. Second: 4-1/2″ h. CONDITION: First very good. Second with losses to cloisonne at lid. Lid is stuck. Finial absent. 9-26197 (400-600)
