CELADON WHITE JADE CARVING FOO DOG. 18th/19th Century China. This nicely carved example of a Foo Dog, a puzzle ball between his fore paws and a Ling sprig in its mouth. SIZE: 1-1/2″ h x 1-5/8″ l. PROVENANCE: Ex-Collection of John Reilly Jr (1876-1931), a member of the American Oriental Society (1918); American Numismatic Society member. Items acquired in his travels to Japan & China, 1909-1925. CONDITION: Very good with nice color and patina. 9-24850 (600-800)
