HARPER’S FERRY MODEL 1855 RIFLE. Cal .75. 33” part oct bbl. Dated 1858 on the tail of the lock and 1861 at rear of bbl. Bbl has been reamed smooth. Bbl bands, sling swivels, patchbox cover, several screws and ramrod are replacements. The rear sight has been removed and the screw in bbl has been plugged. The front sight is inside the patchbox. NSN. CONDITION: Wood is much better than the metal and is probably a reproduction. Bbl and lock are lightly pitted with some live rust. Mechanically good. 4-49598 FS26 (1,000-2,000)
