PATENT MODELS: LOT OF 3. 1) Improvement in Shoes by S. W. West with original patent tag# 155,909, dated Oct. 13, 1874. Leather upper with improvement to keep pants from catching on shoe. SIZE: 10 3/4″ l. CONDITION: Some light cracking to leather, one heel section detached but present. 2) Overshoe by A. S. Hubbard with original patent tag# 249,625, dated Nov. 15, 1881. Rubber and canvas overshoe with back buckle. SIZE: 11″ l. CONDITION: Small tear at top, otherwise very good. 3) Artificial Sheepskin by C. A. Evans with original patent tag# 202,427, dated April 16, 1878 (number on tag somewhat missing because of tape removal). Series of cotton fabric swatches coated with paint and /or shellac. These are attached to shoe of similar fabric. SIZE: Swatches measure 5 1/2″ x 2 1/2″, shoe measures 9 1/2″l. CONDITION: Swatches show wear, top of shoe detached from main body, overall good to very good. 1-6324, 1-6329, 1-6330. AT (400-600)
