SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1855 PISTOL CARBINE. Cal .54. 12” part oct bbl. Dated 1856 on the lockplate and 1855 on bbl. The butt cap has the number 11; there is none on the stock metal. There is an unreadable cartouche on the left side of the stock. There is a roll of Maynard primers in the magazine well. NSN. CONDITION: Gray patina with light pitting and rust stains overall. Brass has a light patina with some pitting and signs of cleaning. Wood has normal dents and scratches. Mechanically fine. 4-49679 FS236 (2,000-3,000)
