SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1855 PISTOL CARBINE. Cal .54. 12” part oct bbl. Dated 1856 on the lockplate and 1855 on bbl. The butt cap has the number 14 and a matching number on the stock. There is an unreadable cartouche on the left side of the stock. NSN. CONDITION: Gray patina on bbl and loading assembly mixed with light to moderate pitting, dark patina on the lock. Mellow patina on the brass fittings. Stock yoke has been filed around the edges and is somewhat battered. Wood has numerous dents and scratches. Mechanics are good. 4-49674 FS251 (2,500-3,500)
