GERMAN NEGROID ALMS BOX/MECHANICAL BANK Of German mfg., this alms box depicts a black youth sitting on a tree stump. When money is deposited, his head will nod back and forth. A well-detailed figure made of composition with a wood box base. A slide drawer with a lock is removable from rear of bank. Bank is stamped “Germany” on bottom. Circa 1920’s. SIZE: 5-1/2″ l x 3-1/2″ w x 8-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Overall condition is excellent. Minor repair needed at shoulder. 1-316 (250-400)
