IMPORTANT RHINOCEROS HORN CUP. 18th century, China. Surface deeply carved with the three friends, Pine, Prunus and Bamboo. Modeled as a mountainous landscape. With carved fitted rosewood stand, rendered overall with fantastic rockery, pines, ling chih and chrysanthemums. WEIGHT: 106 grams. SIZE: Cup: 2-7/8″ h x 3-1/4″ w x 2-3/4″ d. Stand: 1-3/4″ h x 3-1/4 w x 2-3/8″ d. CONDITION: Generally very good with vertical lines to body. Mellow brown color and nice patina.
