PATENT MODEL: CLOTHES WRINGER. By N. B. Phelps with original patent tag#172,652, dated Jan 25, 1876. Outstanding model of wringer with strips of gears working 2 cloth covered wringers in wooden framework, stenciled purchase gear. Metropolitan Washing Machine Co., 32 Cortlandt St., New York on one side and “climax” on reverse. SIZE: 15 1/4″ h X 14 1/2″ w plus handle. CONDITION: Small crack in auxiliary piece, gears are tight and possibly seized, not forced to confirm. Overall, nearly excellent with great patina. 1-6278 AT (4,000-6,000)
