PATENT MODEL: WASHING MACHINE. By G. A. Leigh with original patent tag# 95,239, dated Sept. 28, 1869 (handwritten segment illegible, tag is mildewed). Wooden box with flip top hinged lid marked Rier Wekler & Co. Makers, Springfield, Ill. Ratcheted lever activates ribbed panels that grind against each other while another lever activates a different set of boards. SIZE: 11″ l. x 4 3/4″ w x 4 3/4″ h. CONDITION: One hinge needs to be re-attached. Overall, condition is very good. 1-6260 AT (800-1,200)
