EMILE ALBERT GRUPPE (American, 1896-1978) “SUGARING IN VERMONT”. Large oil on canvas winter scene shows a Vermont sugar house being attended to by a man on a sled holding large blue/green sap barrel led by two brown horses. They have stopped in front of a large sugaring house with sliding door that is open. Signed lower right and titled and signed on back with date 1968. Housed in a fine arts and crafts style carved and gilt replacement frame. SIZE: 30” x 36”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-27349 (15,000-25,000)
