PAINTED FAN, CHINA. Early 20th Century. Ink and color on paper, one side painted by Hu Yutai (1873-1941) with a recluse in a pavilion in a verdant landscape. Inscribed, dedicated to Mr. Boyuan (P.Y. Wang), signed, with one seal, dated autumn in wuyin year (1938). The other side with calligraphic writing, dedicated to Mr. Boyuan as well, signed, with one seal. PROVENANCE: Ex. P.Y. Wang Collection. CONDITION: Some tears along the guard sticks. 7-72690 (600-800)
